Deepest Average Annual Snowfall...

Celebrating 70 years of skiing and riding atop Tahoe’s majestic Donner Summit, Sugar Bowl has been serving up authentic alpine adventures since 1939. Long known as the “Grand Dame” of Tahoe Resorts, Sugar Bowl may be steeped in history but it’s also modern in amenities. The Judah Lodge welcomes skiers and riders with a state of the art day lodge facility, complete with hundreds of slopeside parking spots right out front. And new in 2009/10, Sugar Bowl opens the Summit Chair, accessing the Judah Bowl terrain for black diamond powder skiing and riding. Also new this season is the Backcountry Adventure Center, serving up educational seminars and professionally guided tours with Alpine Skills International, accessing Sugar Bowl’s impressive sidecountry terrain.

Innovative, value-driven programs are the norm at Sugar Bowl. The General Admission program offers ages 13-69 – and season passholders of all ages - free lessons and rentals on “GA Days”, while the CORE Rewards program earns you points toward free items across the resort, just for skiing and riding and for every qualifying dollar spent.

The Den, Sugar Bowl’s new children’s ski school facility, makes a fun and enjoyable outing for the little ones, and a breeze for parents.

Blessed with over 500” annual snowfall – the most in North Lake Tahoe – Sugar Bowl enjoys deep powder and lots of it. Did we mention that Sugar Bowl is the closest major resort to Sacramento and the Bay Area? More snow, less driving, great deals, incredible guest service and an authentic vibe that’s a breath of fresh air. You owe it to yourself to check out Sugar Bowl this season.
